The New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors® recently came together in a meaningful way, turning generosity into impact by presenting checks to our local schools. Through the efforts of our Special Events Committee, $18,000 was distributed across nine schools in our community, each receiving $2,000 to support their programs, students, and staff.

CELEBRATING THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

This heartfelt initiative was highlighted by Volusia County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Carmen Balgobin, who joined us in celebrating the importance of community partnerships in shaping the next generation. Education forms the foundation of opportunity, and these funds represent more than dollars; they symbolize encouragement, care, and belief in the potential of every student who walks through our local school doors.

The checks were presented to a group of dedicated leaders who proudly accepted them on behalf of their schools: Sharon Lavallee of Edgewater Public School, Rebecca Porter of New Smyrna Beach Middle School, Kelly Carter of Read-Pattillo Elementary, Melissa Marple of Chisholm Elementary, Timothy Merrick of New Smyrna Beach High School, Carlos Scott of Coronado Elementary, Alexis Galerno of Burns Sci-Tech, John Shelton of Samsula School, and Jennifer Holmgreen of Indian River Elementary. Their gratitude reflected the shared joy of knowing these contributions will create real, lasting impact.
