West Volusia Habitat for Humanity celebrates home dedication for House #106 honoring Kyra Williams

West Volusia Habitat for Humanity extends its heartfelt thanks to all who joined us in celebrating the home dedication ceremony for House #106, a touching and meaningful tribute to Kyra Williams, our newest homeowner.

The dedication marked the beginning of a new chapter for Kyra and her family, as they stepped into a future filled with hope, stability, and opportunity. It was a powerful reminder of the impact safe, affordable housing has on the lives of local families.

West Volusia Habitat for Humanity mission

“We know that homeownership is one of the most effective ways to build generational wealth and long-term stability,” said David Seilkop, Executive Director of West Volusia Habitat for Humanity. “By providing affordable homes, we are not just building houses—we’re laying the foundation for brighter futures, stronger families, and more resilient communities.”

As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead with excitement: West Volusia Habitat will soon be breaking ground on four more homes as part of our ongoing Veterans Project, continuing our mission to serve those who’ve served us.

“We are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors and supporters who made this day possible. Special
thanks to Boulevard Tires, Publix Charities, Brian’s BBQ, RC Hill DeLand, and our incredible volunteers, whose commitment helps transform lives.

Continued support through financial contributions, volunteering, sponsoring, and shopping at our ReStore makes all the difference. Yep — we turn couches into houses! Thank you for standing with us in building homes, hope, and community.” – West Volusia Habitat for Humanity
