The New Smyrna Beach Board of REALTORS® (NSBBOR) celebrated its 80th anniversary in true throwback style, hosting an ’80s-themed 5K beach run to support its Disaster Relief Fund (DRF). Organized by the Young Professionals Network (YPN), the event brought the community together for a morning of fitness, philanthropy and fun – all for a critical cause.
Over $2,200 Raised for Disaster Relief Fund
The race, held along the scenic shoreline of New Smyrna Beach, drew runners, walkers and supporters dressed in their best neon gear and retro workout attire. Through participant registrations and sponsorships, the event successfully raised more than $2,200 for the DRF, which provides crucial aid to REALTORS® affected by natural disasters and offers support through its mental health program.

“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who participated, donated and helped make this event such a success,” said Candace Cecil, NSBBOR 2025 president. “The Disaster Relief Fund is a lifeline for our members in times of crisis, and the generosity of our community ensures we can continue providing support when it’s needed most.”
80s-Themed 5K Event Sponsors
The event would not have been possible without the generosity of its sponsors, including HomePartners Title Services, Celebration Title Group, Mpire Financial LLC, Homelendia Mortgage, HMA Mortgage, Two Rivers Title, Fidelity National Title and East Coast Title & Escrow. Their contributions played a vital role in making the fundraiser a success.

As part of NSBBOR’s ongoing commitment to advocacy, community and education, the organization continues to seek innovative ways to support its members. The Disaster Relief Fund serves as a critical resource, ensuring that those impacted by hurricanes, floods and other disasters have the financial and emotional support they need to recover.
