Residents and visitors in Volusia County are noticing Park Volusia signs around cities at county-owned off beach parking lots, featuring QR codes for convenient payment. As of January 1, 2025, non-registered residents and visitors must pay $20 per day – plus tax and credit card fees – to park at select beach access points including beach walkovers and public parking lots.

Parking Fees and Pass Options

Volusia County residents can register for a free ON-OFF Beach Parking Pass online at ParkVolusia.org. Residents can use one email address to register as many vehicles as they wish, provided vehicles are registered in their name. Visitors can purchase an OFFBeach Annual Pass for $100. For ON-Beach parking, daily rate for visitors is $30, with an annual pass available for $150. Nonresidents can only register one vehicle per pass purchased.

According to the website, Volusia.org, daily beach parking fees can be paid upon arrival at a county-owned off-beach parking lot (QR code) or beach ramp booth. Annual passes are no longer available for purchase at the beach ramp booths.

Park Volusia Parking Rules

Volusia’s Public Information Officer, Clayton Jackson, explained that Park Volusia enforces parking rules using two methods: automated cameras and mobile officers. License plate reader cameras at beach and park entrances scan vehicles and issue citations by mail, while enforcement officers patrol in marked Park Volusia vehicles. Additionally, all county-owned off-beach parking lots are closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., even for registered Park Volusia users. Parking in these lots after hours to walk the beach is prohibited.

Fines and Penalties for Parking Violations

If a driver doesn’t pay for parking, a $70 citation is issued – this includes the $20 daily fee plus a $50 fine. If the citation isn’t paid within 14 days, the fine rises from $50 to $100, totaling $120. No warnings are being issued.
