Editor’s Letter

New Year, New Mag

Change is probably one of the scariest things we face. But if fear stopped people from taking risks, no one would ever try something new. This February marks 10 years since Kelsey and I created the East Coast Current. While we’ve evolved over the years, we’ve never made a major change — until now.

Tiffany Sudakis, Editor in Chief of East Coast Current

I’ve been talking about making big changes to the magazine for years, but something always held me back. Maybe it was fear. Maybe the timing wasn’t right. Either way, it doesn’t matter now. The change has been made. The Band-Aid has been ripped off, and there’s no turning back.

And what better time to reinvent ourselves than the January issue of 2025, as we celebrate a decade in business?

I’ve spent weeks in my office, surrounded by ideas and inspiration. I’ve poured over countless details and researched styles and layouts to create something that feels fresh but still familiar.

I hope you enjoy our new look and vibe. At our core, we’re still the same people, serving the same community with the same positivity. Everyone deserves a good glow-up.

Here’s to 2025 and all the exciting changes it will bring!
