On September 1, 2021 the Volusia County school board voted (3-2) passing a face covering policy that went into effect on September 7. Due to the Executive Order issued by Governor Ron DeSantis Tuesday, May 3, the City of Daytona Beach and other surrounding cities are no longer requiring face masks to be worn indoors when social distancing is not possible.
