Crown Yourself

Fashion Crown Yourself

We’re officially stepping into hat season — and this time, it’s personal

If you know me, you know I’ve always been a hat girl. Not because I was hiding. Not because I didn’t feel like doing my hair — OK, sometimes maybe a little — but because a hat finishes a look in a way nothing else can. It frames you. It defines you. It announces you before you even speak. Now the industry finally agrees. Vogue is calling it the year of the silly hat. Who What Wear is tracking sculptural headwear from runway to resort. Designers are leaning into texture, shape and personality again.

But this is not silly. It is strategic.

The Art Deco skull cap says it all. Fitted. Feminine. Close to the head. Crochet with crystal detail that catches the light just enough. It does not overpower you. It crowns you.

And it is not alone. The newsboy cap is back. The pillbox feels quietly powerful. The fisherman hat adds texture. The beret is pure editorial energy. Hats are no longer an afterthought. They are the whole mood.

This season, the statement starts at the top. So if you’ve been waiting for permission, this is it. Crown yourself. Because when you crown yourself, no one else gets to decide who you are.

The Art Deco crochet skull cap featured here is handmade by me. Fitted, feminine and finished with subtle crystal detail.

If you want a similar vibe, you can find affordable crochet caps online, including options on Amazon. Look for a close-fitting silhouette with soft structure. And yes, I’m open to creating custom orders. You pick the color, fit and detail. Then it’s handmade and personalized to your style.
