PONCE INLET VETERANS MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION’S MISSION
Since its formation in 2010, the Ponce Inlet Veterans Memorial Association’s mission has been to ensure there will always be a special place in Ponce Inlet to honor our veterans. Dedicated in 2011, the memorial has been successful in that mission by recognizing veterans – even back to the Revolutionary War. In 2014, however, all pavers leading to and around the existing memorial had been allocated to honor veterans.
As a result, the association embarked on an expansion of the memorial by creating two “Walls of Remembrance.” The walls will be covered in black granite and surrounded by pavers. Veterans’ service can be acknowledged either with stainless steel plaques on the wall or with the pavers. In total, we will be able to honor an additional 1,500 veterans with this expansion.
Orders for these or donations towards the expansion construction can be made online at PonceInletVeterans.org.
Anyone donating $500 or more will have their names engraved in a plaque on the walls. Additionally, anyone providing a donation of at least $5,000 will be recognized as a “Patron of the Walls.” Patrons will be recognized in a very special manner that will attest to their extraordinary support of our veterans.
