Explore Historic Streets, Cool Springs, and Lively Nights

Looking for an escape that blends adventure with laid-back charm? West Volusia is the sweet spot between Orlando’s energy and Daytona Beach’s waves. It’s a place where spring and summer linger, stitched together with crystal-clear springs, rich history, and music-filled nights. It’s unpolished, unpredictable… and that’s the magic.

Shopping on Woodland Boulevard

DeLand is home to an array of shopping and fun stores, making it the perfect place for a leisurely day of retail therapy. Stroll along the historic streets of Woodland Boulevard, where charming boutiques, quirky gift shops, and local art galleries line the way. Whether you’re hunting for vintage finds, unique home décor, or stylish apparel, there’s a shop for every taste. Don’t miss the locally owned bookstores and specialty shops, where you can discover hidden gems and support small businesses like Boho Collective Co.. After a day of exploring, refuel at one of the many cafes or restaurants that make DeLand’s downtown scene so inviting.

Friday Nights in DeLand

Downtown DeLand comes alive every Friday at Artisan Alley’s farmers market. Fresh produce, handmade goods, and street food set the scene, while live music from Café DaVinci spills into the streets. With bars, restaurants, and a buzzing nightlife, time slips away in the best way. Athens Theatre: Summer Soundtracks Beat the heat at the Athens Theatre, a beautifully restored 1922 gem with a summer lineup of live music. The Beach Buoys bring Beach Boys vibes on June 14, 2025, while Beautiful Loser delivers Bob Seger anthems on July 23. Then, on August 16, Diamond channels Neil Diamond’s classic charm.

CoolCraft Summer: Sips & Suds

From June 23, 2025, the CoolCraft Summer Beverage Competition takes over West Volusia. More than 20 local breweries, coffee shops, and mixologists compete for the best summer sips – boozy and booze-free. Taste, vote, and toast to creativity.

July 4th: Fireworks & Freedom

Independence Day in West Volusia feels like the ultimate backyard bash. Freedom Fest in DeBary packs in food trucks, live bands, and a fireworks display over Gemini Springs Park. Other celebrations across the county keep the energy high with fireworks, food, and patriotic pride.

Why West Volusia? Because It’s Real.

This isn’t a resort town – it’s a raw, vibrant mix of history, water, and people who know how to throw a party. Pack a bag, grab sunscreen, and experience it for yourself.
