The Stetson Mansion Christmas Spectacular Holiday Home Tour, the best Christmas decorations in Florida according to USA Today, takes place at “Florida’s first luxury estate,” the famed Victorian Gilded Age residence built in 1886. Historic Sportscar Racing & Classic Daytona

Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) returns to Daytona International Speedway with the Classic Daytona & Daytona Historics events. In HSR, the cars are the stars, and spectators are treated to prior winners of great events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Events are as educational as they are adrenaline-inducing, as fans are exposed to pieces of history at the track.

HSR events represent fast-paced, wheel-to-wheel racing. To keep competition close, cars are generally grouped according to age and engine size for racing. HSR features several separate series, which range from the heart-pumping GTP/Group C Series featuring GTP prototypes to the Hawk Performance Endurance Series presented by B.R.M., which includes historic production and prototype sports cars.

Perhaps the best part of HSR events is the open feeling experienced by spectators; unlike other series, fans can stroll through the paddock to view the cars and talk with the drivers. Often, racing legends are on hand, driving cars they previously raced.

About Dauzat St. Marie: The name Dauzat St. Marie (pronouced “dō-zaht saynt mah-ree”) has been circulating quite far and wide these past several years through heavyweight touring with some heavyweight artists.

Known for their lockstep vocal harmonies and catchy, yet thought-provoking songwriting, singer/songwriter troubadours Mat Dauzat and Heather St. Marie have kept the name Dauzat St. Marie popping up all over the U.S. by touring as main support for Grammy® Award winning heartthrob Rick Springfield’s “Stripped Down” solo acoustic show series for the past five years and peppered in dates with The Marshall Tucker Band, Lindsay Ell, Schuyler Fisk / Sissy Spacek, and Rick Derringer. Most recently, Dauzat St. Marie toured the U.S. as support for legendary music icons Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo.2020 was shaping up to be a monumental year for Dauzat St. Marie. They it kicked off with a performance at Los Angeles’s iconic Dodger Stadium for the Komen “More Than Pink” Walk. Then the duo began preparing for their biggest tour to date – the support slot on the summer arena tour with Rick Springfield and one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time – CHICAGO. Sadly, the tour was terminated less than two months before it even began due to Covid-19. Famed producer of those first two records Trevor Horn (Seal, Tears For Fears, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Yes, Stevie Nicks, Grace Jones) who is Musical Director and bassist in Seal’s band, additionally recruited Mat to perform guitar/vocal duties in his band The Buggles, which is the support act on the Seal 30th Anniversary World Tour. On the very last show of the tour, Seal recruited Heather to sing backing vocals in the band as well. In February, 2023, Dauzat St. Marie launched a radio promotions campaign for their single “Common Ground,” which achieved airplay on 60 stations across Europe and the UK, allowing for the duo to embark on a successful tour of Ireland in late September.

21st annual Daytona Beach Festival Of Magic Convention

Magicians from around the world will descend onto the Daytona Beach Area on Nov. 3-5 for the 21st Annual Daytona Beach Festival of Magic Convention. Convention activities will be at The Shores Resort & Spa with two different evening shows taking place at the News-Journal Center.

The Daytona Beach Festival of Magic Convention will include shows, dealers, lectures, workshops and stage and close-up contests at The Shores Resort & Spa. In addition, The News-Journal Center will host a pair of large stage shows on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. 

Convention admission is $199 for the entire weekend with Friday single-day admission $150 (all events except Teach In), Saturday single-day admission $155 (All Events Except Teach In) and Sunday single-day admission (All Events Except Teach In) $50. Tickets are $50 for each night for the stage shows at The News-Journal Center.

2023 Honest Amish National Beard and Moustache Championships

Facial-hair enthusiasts from all over the United States will descend upon the Daytona Beach area for the 2023 Honest Amish National Beard and Moustache Championships on Nov. 4 at Peabody Auditorium. The full activity schedule will run Thursday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 5 with the championships slated to take place on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Peabody Auditorium More than 300 participants are expected to compete in nearly 50 classes in four different categories.  Doors open at 11 am.

For the second straight year at the championships, participants will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for Longest Beard Chain. At last year’s championships in Casper, Wyoming, with 69 men joined together at the beard, the record of 150 feet, 10.75 inches was set, more than two times longer than the previous record achieved in Germany in 2007.

A Great, Rosy, Glow: The Story of Bulow Plantation Ruins

The Bulow Plantation Ruins stand as a monument to the rise and fall of sugar plantations in East Florida. Take a step back in time and learn more about the events that culminated in the destruction of one of the largest plantations in East Florida during the Second Seminole War. Participants will meet at the large pavilion. The program will include a half mile round trip hike to view the ruins. Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellant, and wear sturdy shoes, as the trail includes uneven terrain.
Program is free with park entry of $4 per vehicle. Purchase a single-use day pass online prior to your arrival or use the honor box to pay entrance fees. Cash and check only; correct change is required.

“I WANT YOU” to join us for an evening of cocktails and exclusive tours as we commemorate Veterans Day at MOAS. Take in gallery tours of our new exhibit – World War II: Stories from the American Experience with MOAS Senior Curator of History James “Zach” Zacharias and historian Ryan Lowry, as they guide you through over 100 artifacts, some quite unusual and rare. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks, featuring classic recipes from the World War II era home front. The USO (United Service Organizations) will be lending their support as well. Military members past and present are invited to wear their uniforms.
