Exhibit: Unfolding the Universe: The James Webb Space Telescope

We are peering deeper into the universe than ever before with NASA’s newest space-based
observatory, the James Webb Space Telescope. As the successor and complement, to the famed Hubble Space Telescope, Webb sees in infrared light and has already provided tremendous insights into the mysteries of the universe. On display is a collection of some of
the most mesmerizing imagery captured by Webb so far as we highlight stars, planets in-and-out of our Solar System, star-forming nebulae, massive galaxies, and some of the most distant objects ever observed. There are an assortment of 3D printed displays throughout the gallery, exploring the innovative technology of Webb and providing a unique perspective of various celestial objects featured in the imagery.

Join Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) staff for a talk about bears, coyotes, raccoons, bobcats, and panthers. They will share wildlife conservation principles, basic biology, and best practices for protecting people, pets, property, and wildlife. This program is sponsored by the FWC and the Town of Ponce Inlet.

Sea Squirts

The Sea Squirts Program introduces marine life to children ages 3-5 years and an accompanying adult. 

Through our curriculum-based programming, we offer students some of their first, up-close investigations into Florida’s amazing coastal ecosystems and what it means to be a scientist using outdoor exploration, animal observations, arts and crafts, stories and games.

This year, students will strengthen their fine and gross motors skills, language skills, and social emotional skills through lessons designed around exploring different ocean zones and habitats.

Sea Squirts is offered every Wednesday at 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. 

Cost is $85 per one adult and child for one nine week package. Drop-in price is $8 per one adult and $8 per one child. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to receive a refund. To register more than one child for a nine week package, please call 386.428.4828

MOAS Night Sky Festival: Full Moon, Supermoon, Blue Moon

What makes this Moon super? Is a blue Moon really blue? Join us in the Lohman Planetarium and MOAS Courtyard for a Night Sky Festival to find out! We’ll bring the telescopes and green astronomy lasers; you bring your curiosities and excitement for the Universe. The main attraction is the Moon, but we’ll also view Saturn and the summer constellations and will have hands-on Moon activities in the planetarium lobby. The outdoor portion of the MOAS Night Sky Festival is free and is weather permitting. Lohman Planetarium shows are free for members, $5.00 per show for non-members, and free for children 5 and under.

Come celebrate art and culture with us every first Saturday of the month between 3-7 p.m. along Granada Blvd in Ormond Beach. All art galleries with the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Garden and many other businesses have their doors open to show case local and international artists. Locations often have light hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live music. This is a free event, you can stroll down to Boulevard by foot, by car, or take the free shuttle. Make sure to stop at:

The Star Spangled Summer Concert Series is an annual free summer concert series that takes place on Saturday nights at the world’s most famous beach’s historic Bandshell located on the North end of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and is an experience both locals and visitors alike look forward to every summer. The Star Spangled Summer Concert Series is known for bringing the best Tribute Bands to the beach and will begin the 2023 concert series on May 27th and continue every Saturday night through September 30th. The family-friendly concerts make for a star-spangled summer of fun for everyone.

Back by popular demand, the night sky will come alive with the “Bud Light-Lights Up Daytona Fireworks Display” over the ocean after the shows. Concerts begin at 7:15 PM and fireworks over the ocean follow the concerts at 9:45 PM.
The public is invited to bring their entire family. Attendees may bring their own chairs. VIP seat tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster starting Friday, April 21. Ticketmaster will continue selling VIP tickets to each show through 2 PM the day before each show. Friends of the Bandshell will also sell VIP tickets at the Bandshell on the day of the show at 5 PM. VIP tickets are $15 per person and chairs may be rented for $5 each.

Bandshell parking is available at the nearby Ocean Center garage and surface lots. Attendees parking in the Ocean Center garage can take the pedestrian overpass to the Bandshell, purchase concessions and drinks, and enjoy the live show!

Additionally, while appreciating cool evenings with live music under the stars, concert attendees may stroll the boardwalk, play skeeball or video games while enjoying food and drinks, and the street performers on the world’s most famous Boardwalk.

The race will Start and Finish on the beach; in front of the Flagler Ave Boardwalk in New Smyrna Beach.

DIAMOND is the ULTIMATE Tribute to the legendary singer/songwriter Neil Diamond as performed by Jack Berrios. DIAMOND captures the feel, the sound, the passion and the excitement of a real Neil Diamond Concert.  Berrios is joined on stage with his Diamond Crew: The Diamond Girls: Janet Lamb & Kitei provide the back-up vocals and the glitter to this show. The Brother Love Crew: Bradley Garrison on Congas and Talon Berrios on Vocals & Percussions provide the never-ending energy & excitement on stage.

DIAMOND was seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Daily Buzz with Andy Campbell and FUSE TV “A Different Spin” with Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 as part of the Sunburst Convention segments.  In May 2008 Neil Diamond was asked by Magic 107.7 FM radio Hosts Dave & Leslye what he thought of Jack paying tribute to him and Neil said, “I think it’s terrific.”
