PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations,
weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or a cost-

SATURDAY 5th – “PAINTING SEASHELLS BY THE SEASHORE” – 10:00 AM – Join us in a fun crafts
activity. Bring your own clean seashells or we’ll have some to share. Meet at the pavilion behind the Visitors
Information Center. (2 hours)

FRIDAY 11th – 1:00 PM – “ENDANGERED AND THREATENED SPECIES OF CANAVERAL
NATIONAL SEASHORE”
– Join an experienced leader for a discussion about some of the species that call
the park home. We will focus on those species that are listed as endangered or threatened, but of course
questions on other species are welcome. Some of the species we will talk about are sea turtles, manatees and beach mice. All ages are welcome. Meet at the Visitor Center. (1 hour)

SATURDAY 19 th – 1:00 PM – “TOUR THE HISTORIC ELDORA STATE HOUSE” – Tour the only
original home remaining from the early 20 th century community of Eldora. (1 hour)

SATURDAY 26 TH – 11:00 AM – “THE SMALL, SMALL WORLD OF PLANKTON” – First, we will learn
about what plankton is and why it is a critical part of ALL life on earth. Then, we will use our nets to gather
some plankton from Mosquito Lagoon, one of the most diverse estuaries in North America.  We will then view the plankton under our video microscopes and talk about what we see. (2 hours)
