Beautiful Loser: The Bob Seger Tribute

  • Dates: July 19, 2023
  • Location: Athens Theatre

With a career spanning six decades, Bob Seger has sold more than 75 million records, making him one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.

In 2018 he announced his final tour, so unfortunately none of us can ever see one of his legendary live performances again.

That is where BEAUTIFUL LOSER fits in

While this band is made up of 7-10 very talented, professional musicians with impressive resumes….including former touring members with Jack Bruce, Todd Rundgren and Alan Parsons Project, this band was created because simply…..they had Their Bob Seger!

Ken Hurley IS their Bob Seger…and when you see and hear him he will be your Bob Seger, too. From Kentucky, Ken started singing at age 7 when his Mom, a renowned Southern Gospel singer, slowly worked him into the family band. A veteran of the South Florida music scene (and of the Marines), he earned a reputation as being a soulful singer with a great voice capable of singing anything….and while that is true… it is when he sings what he really loves, what resonates with him, that it’s really something special.

Fortunately for all his bandmates, and for you, Bob Seger’s music resonates with him, and to hear this band with Ken singing…..well, it is in fact, something special.
