NATIONAL PARK SERVICE NEWS RELEASE: APOLLO DISTRICT INTERPRETIVE  PROGRAMS

limitations, weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or
a cost-recovery fee.

TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS – “JUNIOR ANGLER YOUTH FISHING PROGRAM”

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM –   Summer programs are here! Canaveral National Seashore is hosting an amazing,
free summer Junior Angler program. Youths aged 8 and up will gain hands-on experience learning the skill of surf or lagoon fishing, including knot tying, bait & tackle, healthy fish habitats, and more! All fishing gear and bait are provided. Fishing clinics are scheduled for Tues, Wed, & Thu throughout June and July, 10:00AM – Noon. Reservations are required. Program is free, but entrance fee applies. Parents/guardians must remain for the entire program.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS – “TURTLE WATCH” – 8:00 PM to MIDNIGHT

Journey with a National Park Ranger and visit the undisturbed beaches of Canaveral National Seashore to watch a loggerhead sea turtle nesting. Turtle Watch programs give an opportunity to learn about sea turtles and the role the park plays in their conservation. The program will take place at both Apollo Beach and Playalinda Beach and runs from 8:00 PM – Midnight. Reservations are required and space is limited.
