Rules & Frequently Asked Questions:

Where does the race take place?
This is a Beach Run/Walk in the sand. The race course begins on the beach near the boardwalk at the Flagler Avenue Beach Approach in New Smyrna Beach. Registration opens at 7am. Race start time is promptly 8am.

When is Packet Pickup?
All packets (race bib number & event shirt) can be picked up near the start line before the race. The Day of Registration and Packet Pickup tent will be clearly marked on the Flagler Ave Boardwalk and opens at 7am. Please have your registration number (email confirmation) with you for easy pickup.

Will there be results posted at the race?
Yes. Official results are posted near the finish line for all finishers in every age group. On-site times are refreshed and reposted throughout the event. Results will also be printed for any questions at the post-race awards celebration. Following the event, results will be posted on this site on the RESULTS tab.

Will there be a Finisher Medal?
Yes. Registration also includes an event shirt, chip-timed bib, awards, free professional photographs, and a beautiful route along the beach.

Who gets the event T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the online registration and payment processes seven weekdays before the race are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Pre-registered runners in the seven days leading to the race are first to receive their shirt and preferred size. The remaining shirts for walk-up registrations are available until they run out. Quantities and sizes are not guaranteed for day-of registrations.

Are dogs/animals allowed to participate in this event?
No. As much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Pets are not allowed on this beach run/walk.

Should I bring my own water?
Water is provided at a few “Water Refill Stations” near the start/finish area, as well on the 5K route (2 times). These stations have water jugs and small paper cups for use. If you feel you need more water or would like to carry a water bottle while you run, please bring your own. While on the beach, we try to limit our waste and pollution that may blow into the ocean. We encourage renewable and sustainable methods of water distribution at events to reduce our litter impact.

How much does it cost?
Early registration is $25 per person. There is an online processing fee of $2.75.

In person registration on Race Day is $30.

Registration fees are non-refundable. We have a strict No Transfer policy.

Will the race be held if it’s raining?
The race is a “rain or shine” event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.

Will there be an awards ceremony?
An awards ceremony will take place after the race at Flagler Tavern. Estimated 9:15am start.

Where is parking?
There is free parking along Flagler Ave. The boardwalk parking at Flagler Ave Boardwalk has times and fees posted. Obey all parking signs for locations for free and day-fee parking.
