Kip was born from parents who were dancers with a family tradition of roller skate choreography. Kip was employed at Church Street Station from 1993 until closing in 1999. There much experience was gained by performing at banquets, parties, and corporate events serving hundreds to thousands of people at any given time. Work on three music videos is also a part of Kips credits. His choreography on “Cripple Creek” in 1998 gave him world wide recognition when it was recognized as the number one requested line dance in the world according to the professionals at the UCWDC World Dance Championships. In 1999 Azalea Park music picked up Kip to record an old Jim Stafford song called “Spiders and Snakes”. Kip wrote and added a third verse to the song and recorded it. He then choreographed a new line dance for the song and released it along with a full music video.

Black Art, Artists and History Speaker Series – Young, Gifted and Black
Sun at 4:00 PM @ Museum of Art – Deland, 600 N Woodland Blvd, DeLand

This talk is part of the Black Art, Artists and History Speaker Series presented by the Fall Festival of the Arts – DeLand, The Museum of Art – DeLand, and Stetson University, and will focus on Jordan Jones, Delia Miller, and Ali Nasir Bandele, their process of creating artwork and their journey as artists.
Call the Museum at 386-734-4371 to RSVP
Jordan Jones, a.k.a. JJ the Artist’s artistic style takes the route of realism, and is usually depicted on canvas with acrylic medium. The common theme among his pieces is simply anything that peaks his interest. Thus you’ll find the subjects of his art range from professional athletes, musicians, and animals to his favorite characters from cartoons, video games and anime.
Delia Miller is an artist from Apopka, Florida. “I create murals across the Central Florida area and am heavily inspired by nature and cultural heritage. I believe that art should not only be aesthetically pleasing but should also tell a story. Whether I am working with a community group, a nonprofit organization, or a private client, I strive to capture the essence of their vision and translate it into a beautiful, meaningful work of art. Alongside painting, I love teaching with ArtReach Orlando every week and helping youth discover their strength and voice through the healing power of art.”
Ali Nasir Bandele is an artist based in the Central Florida area. “I am purely inspired by the quest for true happiness in life. No matter what I am creating, the simple act of creating makes me happy. Drawing, more specifically Sketch Art, is the simplest way for me to express my love for creating and I have been sketching artwork since I was a toddler. I aspire to expand on my creativity and artwork across other platforms. As a Gen Z’er, I plan to create my own pathway to successful life experiences through artistic expression.”
The Speaker Series — Black Artists, Art, and History — provides diversity, equity, and inclusion to the world of art and opens doors that may otherwise have been closed to minority artists.
