The holiday season has arrived!

Edgewater has been holding its annual Christmas Parade on the second Saturday of December for as long as anyone can remember. This year’s parade is on Saturday, December 10, 2022 and begins at 10:00 AM. It is a great family event that all ages can enjoy.

The parade begins at Air Park Road and SR 442/Indian River Boulevard. It will then make its way east until reaching Hibiscus Drive where it will turn and head south to Friendship Community Church (2108 Hibiscus Drive).

Traffic in and around the Florida Shores Plaza at US 1/South Ridgewood Avenue has increased dramatically through the years. In order to make the offloading/end of the parade route safe for both participants and attendees, the change to the route was made.

It will take approximately two hours for the parade to reach its end at Friendship Community Church.

There will be local school bands, floats of all shapes and sizes, local dignitaries, walking groups, emergency vehicles and of course, Santa Claus on a stopover from the North Pole. The best viewing spots for the parade are on the south side of Indian River Boulevard (SR 442) or on the west side of Hibiscus Drive.

The theme of this year’s parade is The Sounds of the Season.
