Port Orange’s Newest Restaurant, Fysh, opens to diners this Friday

Volusia County’s much awaited new hot spot is set to open Friday, October 13, 2022 and Fysh Bar and Grill is already generating a lot of buzz.

Located within Riverwalk Park in Port Orange along the Halifax River, the establishment is the first restaurant in a long-promised “downtown riverfront” style experience that the city of Port Orange has been working to develop for years now.

According to their website, Fysh will serve a mix of authentic American, Japanese and Italian cuisines across a large menu within a family friendly atmosphere. The large riverfront restaurant features four separate kitchens, two full bars with waterfront views, including a 7,000-square-foot rooftop overlooking the river and an authentic modernized gelato station. Daily live entertainment is planned for added ambiance.

Located on the upcoming Port Orange Riverwalk peninsula, Fysh offers beautiful waterfront views from 3 different angles. No matter where you’re seated, you’ll catch a view of Dunlawton Bridge and the Port Orange intracoastal.

The spacious bars will feature various classic and specialty cocktails, take home souvenir cups, 45-ounce “fun bowl” drinks, and non-alcohol concoctions.

Appetizers include an array of seafood, such as fish and shrimp dips, tuna poke, sushi specialties, ceviche and classics like calamari and conch fritters. Outside of seafood, apps include loaded nachos, pork wings, meatballs, gator bites and more.

The raw bar serves up a variety of flavor-packed oysters, scallops, shrimp and clams, plus a massive seafood tower packed with lobster, crab, shrimp and oysters. Jumbo chicken wings are available in a tasty spread of signature sauces, such as Key West lime, Tennessee whiskey, Carolina BBQ, classic heat, and Tupat’s Hawaiian Style, created by lifelong local Patrick “Tupat” Eichstaedt.

  1. From everything I’ve heard it takes hours and hours to get served. It’s a good thing I’m retired I won’t feel guilty about taking up a table as we chat!
