$10 admission: giant hay fort, corn cannon, round bale racers, duck races, corn hole, flash light maze, pumpkin patch and haunted hay ride!

Fields of Fright Haunted Hayride

October 14 – 29, 2022

7 to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays only @ 3000 N Spring Garden Ave, DeLand

Fields of Fright, Haunted Hayride located on 100 acres of haunted trails. Partenal Advisory Warning Scarty Hayride. Children 10 Years and Older recommended.

Fields of fright Haunted Hayride starts in a cornfield and descends down to the bottom of a giant sinkhole surrounded under a web of twisted gnarly oak trees.

Cattle and other farm animals, including a few ranch hands, have gone in but never came out. Hear the sounds of the hayride trailer twist and buckle, feel the chills of the night air, as the old farm tractors grew to pull you through the carnage.

When the hayride is over, if you make it, you will walk through the haunted cornfield with a twist and meet your favorite Horror Scar Crew lurking in the dark shadows……

DeBary Halloween Decorating Contest

The Annual Halloween Decorating Contest is back! Registration to participate in the contest ends this Monday (10/18) and judging takes place from October 21st through October 25th. This year we are adding a “popular vote” section to the prizes, so now all residents can participate and vote on their favorite decorated homes! Beginning October 15th – 29th, you’ll be able to download your free pumpkin map and start your search for nine hidden pumpkins along Flagler Avenue! Once you find a pumpkin visit the host business and get your hunt stamp.  When you have collected all nine stamps, drop your map off at the Seahorse Inn located at 431 Flagler Avenue. The Haunted Mansion @ DeBary Library

The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse will present Fall Homeschool Day. This is a day of educational workshops and fun activities for homeschool students ages 6-12 centered around the theme of Simple Machines

Each workshop will contain great information, along with hands-on activities all centered around the concepts of STEM. At the end of the day students will take home a specially designed packet with additional information and activities.

We are limiting the total number of student participants for the day to 100. Advance registration required.

The price is the same for adults and students ($6.95/person), with children 2 years and under admitted free. Homeschool families must register in advance for this event.

To ensure that all available slots are filled and no one is turned away unnecessarily, we require payment be made at time of registration. Registration and payment will be done online beginning September 21st.

Friends of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center present I Love the 80’s To Death, Murder Mystery Dinner and show. Wear your best 80’s outfit and come solve the mystery. Join us in the Lohman Planetarium for a movie night featuring The Shining. Unemployed writer Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) accepts a job as caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the Rocky Mountains for the harsh winter off-season. He planned to finish his manuscript during the monotony, but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. He and his family were warned about cabin fever at the Overlook…but could there be something worse waiting for them? Redrum!

Fall-O-ween is coming up on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m -8 p.m. at Tomoka Christian Church, and offers a safe and positive alternative to trick-or-treating. Put on your favorite non-scary costume and bring the whole family out for music, games, food, activities, decorated trunks and tons of candy!

Truck or Treat

Bring the families to Daytona Beach City Hall for a howling good time at a Trunk or Treat Monday, Oct. 31. From 6 to 8 p.m. kids can trick or treat around decorated vehicles and enjoy free games, a pumpkin patch, face painting and more. There will be a costume contest at 7 p.m. with prizes.

16th Annual New Smyrna-Ween Chills and Thrills Night
