Turn the radio dial back to the late 1980’s, as this season’s opener tells the tale of a rockin’ quest to save young love, an iconic venue, and rock n’ roll itself from demolition.  This huge, energetic tribute to the glam rock era features unforgettable Hair Band favorites like “We Built This City,” “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn,” “The Final Countdown,” and so many more.

Not recommended for audiences younger than 14.

All shows start at 7:30 p.m. with exception of July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7 which start at 2:30 p.m.

15th Annual New Smyrna Beach Shrimp & Seafood Festival

August 4 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm along Flagler Avenue

Join us on Flagler Avenue for the 15th Annual New Smyrna Beach Shrimp & Seafood Festival from 5 to 9 pm on Thursday, August 4th, 2022. Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event so you can try the best restaurants in New Smyrna and its surrounding areas serving up sample-sized portions of their award-winning seafood dishes all priced between $5-$8 | This event features plenty of local, delicious seafood options sold in sample sizes $5-$8 to encourage lots of tasting along the Avenue. This festival also offers crafts vendors, entertainment, and sponsor/community booths. No admission fee with plenty of fun for the entire family. During the Festival, restaurants will be competing for the coveted “BEST ON THE BEACH” awards in 4 categories, Shrimp, Shellfish, Fish, and Specialty Seafood. This is a great opportunity to try out our great local cuisine and perhaps find a new favorite dish or local restaurant!

The DeLand Artisan Alley Farmers Market is a vibrant marketplace with over 40 vendors that takes place every Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. (rain or shine) in historic downtown DeLand.

BACK IN TIME – Huey Lewis and 80s Tribute

The Sounds of Summer Concert Series is an annual live summer concert series that takes place on Friday nights at the historic oceanfront Bandshell located on the North end of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. Known for bringing the best Tribute Bands to the beach, the 2022 Concert Series returns with its Friday night concerts starting Friday, May 27, and continuing through Friday, September 23 (including special holiday weekend performances). The concerts are free to the public with the option to purchase VIP seats for $10 plus applicable surcharges. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs to the concerts or purchase VIP tickets, which include a seat. VIP tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Peabody Box Office at 600 Auditorium Boulevard in Daytona Beach. 

Special holiday performances on Sunday, May 29, Sunday, July 3, and Sunday, September 4, 2022.

Attendees can park in the nearby Ocean Center parking garage and surface lots. Attendees using the garage have easy access to the Bandshell and Boardwalk area via the pedestrian overpass.

First Friday Food Truck Rally

The Food Truck Rally on Magnolia Avenue between Beach St. and Palmetto Ave. will feature the Cruisin’ Beach Street Classic Car show on Beach Street. Magnolia Avenue will have great food from the best food trucks in our area, music, and plenty of free parking behind the Riverfront Shops. Downtown restaurants will be open.

EDGEFEST BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY 

Saturday from 12 – 4 PM @ Whistle Stop Park, 651 Roberts Road, Edgewater

The annual EDGEfest Back to School Party will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Whistle Stop Park (651 Roberts Road, Edgewater). The event begins at 12 p.m. and the fun will continue until 4 p.m. There will be live music, food trucks, retail vendors, games and more. This is the most important event of the EDGEfest event series as the city of Edgewater strives to give away 500 or more backpacks and school supplies to our local students. Backpacks are given away on a first come, first served basis.

EDGEfest is a year-round series of events held monthly in the city of Edgewater. Each event includes a variety of activities designed to provide something for every member of the family. The EDGEfest event series is funded solely by sponsorships and donations. It is a fun, economical opportunity for businesses to showcase all they have to offer. 

It takes the support of our entire community to ensure our local students get back to school on the right foot. The First Saturday Ormond Beach Art Walk celebrates art and culture, with a cool downtown vibe. Most of the artwork is handcrafted by local fine artists, but national and international artists are here as well.

Stroll the Boulevard or ride the Art Walk shuttle every first Saturday to experience new creations, meet new creators, and treat yourself to a night of intellectual and aesthetic stimulation.

LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER – Bon Jovi Tribute

The Star-Spangled Summer Concert Series is an annual live summer concert series that takes place on Saturday nights at the historic oceanfront Bandshell located on the North end of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. Known for bringing the best Tribute Bands to the beach, the 2022 Concert Series continue every Saturday night, May 28 through September 24, plus July 4th. A free fireworks display follows every Saturday night concert. Tickets can be purchased starting March 18th through Ticketmaster. Tickets for each show can be purchased online until 2:00 p.m. on the Friday before the show, and then on the day of the show, VIP tickets will be sold at the Bandshell at 5:00 p.m. for that day’s show. 

Bring your own chairs or rent them at the concert for 2 for $5

National Lighthouse Day

Celebrate the founding of the US Light-House Establishment at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum! Discover over 233 years of American lighthouse history as you explore one of the Nation’s largest and most authentic light stations and Climb 175 Feet to the top of Florida’s Tallest Lighthouse. Tour the world-famous lighthouse museum and enjoy family-oriented activities including living history interpretations, hands-on workshops, and kids crafts. All special activities are provided free of charge with regular admission from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

First Saturday Events on Canal Street

Stroll and browse art, antiques and more!

Art Vendors & FREE Live Entertainment at Christmas Park 11AM-1PM Gallery Openings 4-7 PM At The Hub on Canal, Artists Workshop on Canal and Galleries on Riverside Drive and Douglas Streets!

Sip and Stroll @ 1 – 6 PM

Sample craft beers and unique wines as you stroll through the Canal Street Historic District from 1pm to 6pm. 

Tickets are $25 and include a Canal Street souvenir glass and 12 sampling tickets that can be redeemed at 10 locations in the district. 

A self-guided map is provided for this exciting excursion. 

Tickets can be purchased during the event at Crimson House – 219 N Orange St or Riverpark Terrace – 302 S Riverside Drive.

Annual Back to School Safety Fair

Deltona Fire Rescue’s Annual Back to School Event provides students & families with free supplies & resources to prepare for the upcoming school year. 

This year’s fair will be fun and informative! We will have local community resources and businesses showcasing their services offered to students and their families.
