City of Port Orange Announces Light Contest Winners

With 50 participants in this year’s annual Light Up Port Orange contest, residents had a lot of home holiday displays to choose from to cast their vote.

After much anticipation and excitement, the city of Port Orange Parks and Recreation Department released the list of homes on December 8, with the contest running from December 10 through December 19. Participating homes were required to turn on the lighting displays from 6 to 10 PM during this time for visitors to drive by and view.

Many homes went all out this year, with some featuring snowy dance parties on the last weekend of the competition, toy and charity drives, walk through displays with movie screenings, and even visits from Santa himself.
