Teens in grades 6 through 12 can take part in Volusia County Public Library’s first-ever Teen Winter Beanstack Challenge created just for them.
Teen Reading Challenge in Volusia County, FL
Starting December 1, teens can visit the library online to participate in the challenge. Teens will log on to earn badges for individual activities they complete, which will earn them chances to win a raffle prize.
Each activity is fun and unique, ranging from finding a secret word to completing a virtual escape challenge, such as “Escape from Zombie Island,” or “Grimm Fairy Tale.” Logging minutes spent reading will also earn badges.
This program will run from December 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022. Registration and more information will be available online here and at all library branches now.
Additionally, the Volusia Library offers several services and programs for teens, including college preparation resources like ACT and SAT practice and prep, college navigation and guidance, and assistance with federal and Florida college financial aid.
Teens can log on for testing and homework tutoring resources, reserve books online, join online book clubs, and even find resources for student driving like the Florida Driver’s License manual.
Teens can follow the library on YouTube at “Volusia Teens Read” and Instagram at @VolusiaReads.
