The Port Orange Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with The Veterans of Foreign Wars Organization to host the 2021 Veterans Day Ceremony. It will be taking place on November 11th starting at 10 AM at Veteran’s Park located in City Center Park. All are welcome! Bring chairs and blankets and help us honor those who have served, those who are currently serving, and those who gave everything they had to protect us and our country.

The National Historic Landmark Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum welcomes all to celebrate Veterans Day, and especially honors U.S. active duty, auxiliary, veterans and their families of the Coast Guard, on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Active U.S. Service members, active U.S. Coast Guard members, and Coast Guard veterans are admitted free.
A US Coast Guard Aids to Navigation team with a rescue craft will interact with all lighthouse visitors. A flag raising ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., along with a special presentation by Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Director of Operations Mike Bennett who will honor the history of the Coast Guard, its local base across the waters of the Inlet, and the long relationship of the U.S. Lighthouse Service and the Coast Guard.
Keeper-docents in United States Lighthouse Service uniforms and others will answer questions and conduct orientation tours at the lighthouse station during the day, while other costumed docent reenactors will bring to life historic figures from the past. There also will be a take-home children’s craft distributed that day.

Volusia County Veteran’s Day Parade

The DeLand Naval Air Station Museum and the MainStreet DeLand Association are honored to continue the tradition of producing the Volusia County Veterans Parade. It is our goal to honor the sacrifices of all Volusia County veterans and their families. Where better to celebrate our Veterans than in the County Seat. Woodland Boulevard and downtown DeLand will be lined with American flags and patriotic displays.
Opening ceremony 9:30am at Indiana Ave. & Woodland Blvd. Parade begins at 10am.
