New Exhibits @ Jane’s Art Center

Open every Tuesday – Saturday in October from 10 AM – 5 PM, Oct 1 – 30

Jane’s Art Center, 199 Downing St., NSB 

On exhibit all month, view neo-pointillist paintings of strong and influential women by artist Robert Shirk (pictured above).

Also on exhibit, featuring work by members of the Florida Women’s Art Association that explores the full spectrum of art by Florida women.

Mini Beach Weekend

The Sunshine MINIs, a Mini Cooper car club, invites you to the first MINI Beach Weekend! The three-day weekend will feature several MINI-related events, drives, meals, and a relaxing weekend at the beach. The Fall weather should be perfect for motoring and enjoying the outdoors. More information, including a full schedule and registration, can be found on the event website.

October 1: “MINIs at the Museum” car show at the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art (on the Museum of Arts and Sciences campus) including prizes, food truck and more. The car show judging is 3-5 p.m., and the food truck is open 4-8 p.m. Don’t have a mini (yet!), come out and see the cars!

October 2: “Driver’s Choice” photo scavenger hunt – motor in your Mini to many scenic locations around Daytona Beach. Starts with 10 a.m. driver rendevous, Scavenger Hunt from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Put your paws in the sand on Daytona Beach! Halifax Humane Society’s 11th Annual Mutt Strutt on the Beach brings together people and their furry canine friends. Bring your pups for some fun in the sun.
