The inaugural Reel Deal Film Festival opens in New Smyrna Beach on September 30.

“My Invisible Husband” Premieres September 30 and Kicks off Film Festival

The festival has attracted submissions from over 40 countries and most of the United States. The Premiere Party kick off, A Taste of New Smyrna, will screen the world premiere of “My Invisible Husband,” directed by Brent Eite and produced by Shelley Lynch (featured image).

The film shares the story of Shelley’s healing journey after her husband’s sudden death. It highlights the beauty of New Smyrna Beach, and how connecting to nature can assist in staying grounded and centered. The film also shows her unique relationship with local dolphins and other wildlife.

Tickets for opening night range from general admission at $45 to VIP tables at $150/ticket or $1150 for a table of 8, hosted at the architecturally superb waterfront Brannon Center where attendees will enjoy fare from a multitude of NSB’s renowned foodie spots while sipping paired wine or craft beer.

Festival day passes begin at $15. Comedy, drama, documentary and faith-based shorts and features will run in designated screening rooms for three days.

The Festival is a project of The Reel Film Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 promoting Film Arts and Outreach in Volusia County. Space is provided by generous sponsorship from the city of New Smyrna Beach, and location sponsors Marriott Springhill Suites NSB, and The Hub on Canal, Inc.
