A statement from The Little Theatre
The safety of all of our patrons, volunteers, actors and backstage crew has always been of paramount importance to us at The Little Theatre. We also strive to create the best possible entertainment experiences for anyone who visits our theater. Due to rising cases of COVID and its variants and with an abundance of caution, we will now be requiring that masks be worn at all times by our patrons, volunteers onstage, backstage and front of house while in the theater. This is also in accordance with July 28th update to CDC Guidelines stating that:
“If you are fully vaccinated, to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.”
Volusia County is currently designated as an area of high transmission.
We will continue to provide a clean and sanitized environment for everyone in our theater and hand sanitizing stations remain located throughout our theater. Our seating capacity will remain at 100%.
We recognize that people have differing opinions regarding the wearing of masks, however we at The Little Theatre, take the position that doing everything we can to support our creative endeavors while ensuring the safety of every visitor to our theater is the best model for these difficult times. We ask that you respect this decision as we work hard to navigate the damaging effect this pandemic has had on our arts community.
