Join staff for a classroom presentation on some of the most commonly seen snake species in Volusia County. After the presentation, participants can meet some of the center’s reptile animal ambassadors.

Florida Railfair Model Train Show And Sale

9 AM – 4 PM @ Volusia County Fairgrounds, DeLand

The 73rd Florida Railfair Model Train Show and Sales will be held at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, in the Tommy Lawrence Show Arena, on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Over 200 tables representing dealers from all over the nation will have model items in all gauges and railroad
antiques for sale. This is Florida’s largest combination show, displaying items for both the “modeler” and “rail
buff” alike all under one roof. The model railroader may choose from Lionel, American Flyer, LGB, Marklin or
Ives Trains from the past or present. The rail buff may focus on dining car china, lanterns, switch locks and
keys, timetables or any other artifacts actually utilized by the railroads. 

The show also includes several large working layouts with displays featuring the First Coast Model Railroad Society layout (FCMRS), the Orlando N-Track, North East Florida Live Steamers and Railroaders with their working 7.5” gauge engines and rolling stock to enjoy during show hours. 

Admission is $7 for adults and children under 12 are free. Parking is free. For more information, call or go to the website.

Midtown Music Concert Series

7 – 9 PM @ Daisy Stocking Park, Daytona Beach

The City of Daytona Beach sponsored Midtown Music Concert Series happens monthly at Daisy Stocking Park. The free summer concert series brings the best local bands to the area. Daisy Stocking Park is located at 550 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd. Food and drink vendors will be onsite. Attendees can bring their own chairs; however, coolers are not allowed. Free performances from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday evenings include:

  • July 10: The Love Band
  • Aug. 14: Daphne Cooper and Dante’s Pride Musicians
  • Sept. 11: Flo Logan and Lois Williams
  • Sept. 25: The Chris Clarke Jazz Trio

Daytona Beach Bandshell Summer Concerts and Fireworks

In 2021, catch a live summer concert at the Bandshell every Saturday night from May 29 through September 25 starting at 7:15 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:45 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier.  All seating is reserved and includes a chair. General Reserved tickets are $4 / VIP Reserved tickets are $10.

Summer Drive In Movie Mania

Sunday at 7 PM at the Drive in Church, Daytona Beach

It’s BACK! For the SIXTH year in a row we’re showing FREE Drive In Movies at the Drive In Church! Load up the car and sit underneath the stars as you enjoy a little bit of history together with your friends and family. Gates open at 7pm parking. Please maintain good physical distance from other families. Movies will begin at dusk. We will offer pre-packaged concession stand movie snacks for $1/item **CASH ONLY**.
