New Smyrna Beach

VFW Post 4250 is proud to announce the return of their traditional schedule of formal Memorial Day services this year on Monday, May 31 at the following three locations: 

  • 10 a.m. Firing party, playing of “Taps,” and flag ceremony at Glencoe-Geiger Cemetery on Sugar Mill Drive between S.R. 44 & Pioneer Trail
  • 11 a.m. Invocation, color guard, wreath laying ceremony, singing of the National Anthem by NSBHS student Cypress Woods, and remarks by Mayor Russ Owen in the Brannon Center at 105 S. Riverside Dr.
  • Noon: Firing party and prayer luncheon open to the public at VFW Post 4250 headquarters at 2350 Sunset Dr.

Port Orange

May 31, 2021, 10:00 AM @ Veterans Park in City Center

The City of Port Orange will hold the annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 31st at 10am at Veterans Park in City Center. The VFW Post 3282 will host the ceremony, which will feature a display of colors, speeches and a 21-gun salute. All attendees will be encouraged to bring their own lawn chair and stay physically distanced from other parties. For those not comfortable with attending in person, the ceremony will be broadcast live on Facebook and posted to the City’s YouTube channel and website. Veterans Park is located at 4655 City Center Circle in Port Orange, and parking is available across the street at the Port Orange REC. For more information, please call 386-506-5868.

DeLand

May 31, 2021, 10 AM – virtual

The City of DeLand will hold a virtual ceremony that will stream live at 10 a.m. Monday, May 31 on the city’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. The city’s remembrance will incorporate several elements including a presentation of colors by the DeLand Fire Department Honor Guard, performances by faculty and students from the Stetson University School of Music and a 21-gun salute by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. The ceremony will also be used to individually honor the DeLand-area men and women who have died while in service to their country.

Ormond Beach

Ponce Inlet

May 29 – May 31, 2021, from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM daily @ The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse

Free admission to veterans and active-duty military personnel with proof of service (May 29-31, 2021)

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at the historic Ponce De Leon Inlet Light Station and climb to the top of Florida’s tallest lighthouse! Explore one of the nation’s largest surviving light stations and discover the fascinating history of the U.S. Lighthouse Service, Ponce Inlet, and the local region. Tour the world famous Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum. Enjoy family-oriented workshops and activities being held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. These special activities are included with paid regular admission on Memorial Day. All veterans and active-duty military personnel will be admitted free of charge throughout Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31, 2021, with proof of service in honor of their sacrifice.

Daytona Beach

May 29 from 3 – 6 PM @ Tanger Outlets

Come celebrate the start of the summer at the Memorial Day Block Party at Tanger Outlets Daytona Beach. Enjoy live music, beer and wine, kids fun zone, face painting and more! The Memorial Day Block Party will take place Saturday, May 29 from 3 to 6 p.m. near Under Armour. Don’t miss the fun!

Jeep Beach Memorial Day Celebration

May 30 from 11 AM – 3 PM @ Crabby’s Oceanside, 451 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach

Join us at Crabby’s Oceanside for drinks, food and fun!

Admission is free and he event is a tribute to our American Patriots.

A portion of proceeds will go to the Veteran Museum and Educational Center located in Holly Hill.
