Due to the Executive Order issued by Governor Ron DeSantis Tuesday, May 3, the City of Daytona Beach and other surrounding cities are no longer requiring face masks to be worn indoors when social distancing is not possible.
The county recommends people follow the prevention guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to protect themselves from COVID-19 and get a vaccine. The Governor’s Executive Order also rescinded the provisions in the local emergency order.
Although the cities do not have a face mask mandate in place, individual businesses, restaurants and companies hold the right to require face masks on premises.
