Bike Week 2021 – Official Notices, Events and More

This information is evolving and will be updated as more info and events become available. Information has been provided by the city, county, official Bike Week page or by individual event pages. If you have any questions, please direct them to the organizers of the events.

In January 2021, Daytona Beach City Commissioners announced that the 2021 Bike Week festivities would be permitted this year, but with new conditions:

The 80th anniversary of Bike Week is happening in Daytona Beach this March 5 – 14, 2021 with plans in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Please note: A mask mandate is currently in effect for all indoor locations in Daytona Beach.

2021 Bike Week will Take Place in Daytona Beach

City commissioners approved the Bike Week 2021 Private Property Master Plan submitted by the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber’s Bike Week Festival Task Force at their Jan. 20 commission meeting.

As part of the plan, outside vendors will be permitted. Businesses that are in the Master Plan (including some on Main Street) will have to limit capacity inside to 60 percent to help promote social distancing.

Road Details – Where you can and can’t drive

Hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are expected for the 80th Anniversary of Bike Week, March 5-14. The city of Daytona Beach expects large crowds near the Daytona International Speedway, Main Street, Beach Street and Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard.

To allow for more social distancing, parking will be more limited than usual on Main Street and instead, overflow lots will be set up near the Ocean Center. Only motorcycles will be allowed on Main Street.

Traffic:

  • Motorists are encouraged to use the Seabreeze Boulevard / Oakridge Boulevard, International Speedway Boulevard and Silver Beach / Orange Avenue bridges.
  • Excessive noise from loud pipes is prohibited, and motorcycles must have mufflers according to state
  • Motorcyclists arriving and leaving festival areas via residential streets should proceed with extra caution due to pedestrian traffic.
  • Resident and business access will be accommodated. Police will enforce designated residential / decal parking restrictions in specific areas, especially on the beachside. Please check for signage before parking.
  • When event traffic dictates, specific traffic patterns will be put into effect to help keep traffic moving in and around the festival areas.

Main Street:

“Motorcycles Only” will be in effect for Main Street. Other motorists must use the side roadways or receive special permission to access the area.

Curbside parking will be limited to allow for greater physical distancing on the sidewalks.

Visitors to this famous street will notice some changes with an eye towards keeping everyone safe during the 80th Anniversary event. For all ten days of Bike Week this year, it will be motorcycles only. Curbside parking will also be limited to allow for greater social distancing on the sidewalks. We have arranged for overflow parking just one block north of Main Street at our Ocean Center with outdoor parking at just $5.00 per bike and indoor parking on weekends for $10. Our merchants there have worked extra hard to make sure their locations are safe and follow CDC guidelines. Your help is appreciated when visiting. Some interior locations have also reduced capacity to 60%. Please be patient when waiting to enter. Outdoor areas will be plentiful. All our local businesses want you to enjoy your visit and be safe. We’re looking forward to a fun and safe event in 2021.
