City of New Smyrna Beach to Provide Holiday Meals for Seniors

Enjoy seasonal music, holiday cheer and a scrumptious meal safely placed in your trunk or back seat along with a gift bag at the city of New Smyrna Beach’s drive-through Annual Senior Christmas Luncheon in the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center parking lot on Tuesday, December 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

December 15 from 11:30 AM – 1 PM @ the Alonzo Babe James Community Center, N. Myrtle Ave, New Smyrna Beach

RSVP to receive one of 100 meals by December 13 with Community Resources Coordinator Irma Terry at or by calling (386) 314-4849.

Choose either turkey or baked chicken to compliment yellow rice, green beans, macaroni and cheese, a dinner roll, choice of soft drink and dessert.

Recipients must be 55 or over, remain in their vehicles, and wear a mask in accordance with CDC guidelines.

If you do not have access to a vehicle, please let the city know so they can provide alternate, walk-up accommodation.

The Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center is a community facility equipped with a gymnasium, game room with ping-pong and pool tables available for a variety of activities. The center is available for all ages and currently hosts many of the recreation and leisure services program.
