Wednesday, November 11, 2020 is Veterans Day, celebrated nationally. Here are events happening around Volusia County commemorating the day and honoring our Veterans.
Veterans Day Ceremony

The City of Port Orange will hold the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11th at 10am at Veterans Park in City Center. The VFW Post 3282 will host the ceremony, which will feature a display of colors, speeches and a 21-gun salute. All attendees will be encouraged to bring their own lawn chair and stay physically distanced from other parties. For those not comfortable with attending in person, the ceremony will be broadcast live on Facebook and posted to the City’s YouTube channel and website. VFW 3282 Open Post
12 – 5 PM
Members and Guests – join us at the Post after the ceremonies to celebrate Veteran’s Day! We’ll be “open to the public” and the Commander of the Post and President of the Auxiliary will be remembering those we lost in the past year. We’ll have our traditional BBQ (pork & chicken) meal starting at 1:00 pm with all the fixin’s and members eat for free! All others, a $8 donation. And of course, the famous AUX Bake Sale! Greg Cardino will be on hand as our entertainer from 2-5 p.m.

Observance of Veteran’s Day
Due to Covid-19, the Ponce Inlet Veterans Association Board has decided to cancel this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony. A wreath will be placed out with a laminated prayer on Veterans Day for people to stop by on their own to pay respects to Veterans and fallen family members between 9:00am-5:00pm at the Veterans Memorial at Kay & Ayres Davies Lighthouse Park.
