Target Car Seat Trade-In is BACK!

Target will be conducting a car seat trade-in event from September 13 – 26, 2020.

Trade-in used car seats for big discounts at Target

They will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged.

Materials from the old car seats will be recycled.

Guests who trade in their old car seats will receive a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear, such as play-yards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers.

Car seats can only be traded in at a Target store, however, the coupons are now digital and can be applied to both in-store and online purchases.

In order to participate (with social distancing in mind this year), bring the car seat/base/booster seat to Target and drop it off in the large box located near the front of the store.

Open your Target app and scan the code on the box. If necessary, a Guest Services member is available to help you. Open the “Wallet” in your Target app and view “Extra offers” to add your coupon. Click the green check mark next to the offer. You can now use the coupon online by applying to your basket or simply scan the barcode at the register in-store.

Find a drop-off box at a store near you.

Ecology Cash for Cars

One thing to keep in mind when trading in a car seat is to make sure that your actual vehicle is safe. IF your car has gotten old and the technology is outdated you should consider upgrading to a new car. If you do decide to upgrade your car you’ll probably have an old vehicle to get rid of. You can use a service like Ecology Cash For Cars to get rid of your car, or another option is to trade the car in to the dealer.
