TheVolusia County Public Library system will ring in the new year with expanded hours to accommodate the increasing demand for library services.
Libraries Offering Longer Hours as of January 2, 2020
The six regional libraries will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. These libraries are:
- Daytona Beach Regional Library
- DeLand Regional Library
- Deltona Regional Library
- New Smyrna Beach Regional Library
- Ormond Beach Regional Library
- Port Orange Regional Library
The following branches will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday: Hope Place Public Library and John H. Dickerson Heritage Library.
The following branches will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday: Edgewater Public Library and DeBary Public Library.
The Lake Helen Public Library will be open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday,Wednesday and Friday; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 7:30 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Friday.
The Oak Hill Public Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 1 to 5 p.m.Wednesday; and noon to 3 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.Thursday.
The Orange City Public Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Friday.
The Pierson Public Library will be open from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
