What began as the “Daytona Beach Community Fund” in 1941 has grown into today’s United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, raising funds for our partner agencies. There is no other charity like United Way. We combine over 50 fund-raisers into one, saving the community, and our agencies, time and money that is better spent helping people. We constantly bring local volunteers and community leaders together to identify and solve local problems.

VISION
The United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, Inc. is recognized as the leading coordinator and facilitator of human services. Our organization continually identifies and re-evaluates community needs and assets. We provide the leadership and resources necessary to address those needs. We accomplish this through on-going communication and education with the community, including donors, agencies, volunteers and individuals.

WHAT WE DO
United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties brings together the people, businesses and organizations that have the passion, resources and skills needed to get things done and create lasting change. The building blocks for a better life are education, financial stability, health and basic needs. United Way works to build a strong foundation for individual and community success for years to come.

FUNDRAISING
United Way continues to be one of the largest non-governmental supporter of local nonprofits. You can review our list of Partner Agencies to see which agencies and programs we currently fund. Through the annual fundraising campaign, workplace giving, corporate donations and more, United Way is able to help local agencies save time and money on fundraising and focus instead on creating lasting change. Check out the Campaign Central page online to learn more about the fundraising work that United Way does and how YOU can help!
PARTNER AGENCIES
We fund programs supported by partner agencies that go through a Funding Allocation Process. Our Community Impact Cabinet reviews all applications and makes funding decisions based on measurable, sustainable, long-term outcomes. The recommendations from those volunteers are then reviewed and approved by the volunteer Board of Directors.
