In preparation for summer, the city of NSB is updating some of their public parks and performing maintenance.
Two City of New Smyrna Beach parks to close temporarily for maintenance in May
As the weather warms and summer approaches, two city parks will close temporarily in May for regular maintenance.

The New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex (1800 Turnbull Bay Road) closed May 9-10 to fumigate against nematodes and other pest species. Posted signage will advise passers-by of the closure.
Detwiler Park (701 Oakwood Avenue) will close May 15-29 to resurface the basketball court and and five tennis courts (two of which will also be re-striped for pickleball play). Park restrooms will remain open during this time.
