The Hub and Community Outreach

“The Hub on Canal Film Festival is one of many community outreach programs sponsored by The Hub on Canal,” said Richard England, President of The Hub on Canal, Inc. “The goal of the student film festival is to provide teenaged students with an opportunity to express themselves through film and digital art, to learn from industry and community professionals, and to experience the joy of sharing their creation in a community event, regardless of whether they win a prize.”

The 2019 festival has been expanded to provide additional support for students, including early film entry mentoring and a career round table discussion event. As part of its outreach, The Hub on Canal seeks to connect students with experienced film professionals, providing them with hands on information about technical and career aspects of film.
