Duel at Daytona

Feb. 14, 2019 @ 5 – 10 PM

Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL

The stakes are high for this night-time shootout during these pair of 150-mile qualifying races with starting positions locked in for the DAYTONA 500 and championship points awarded to the top ten finishers in each race.

Traditionally among the most important events of Speedweeks, nine Duel at DAYTONA winners have gone on to win the Harley J. Earl DAYTONA 500 trophy.

The Racing History Bus Tour

Living Legends of Auto Racing Museum, 2400 S. Ridgewood Ave., South Daytona FL 32119

If you love racing history then jump on board the racing history Bus tour. Friday, February 15th The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse will be one of the awesome stops on the history tour Friday, February 15th, 2019. Participants will board the bus at the Living Legends of Racing Museum at 8:00 am.

Highlights of the tour include the NASCAR Archives, The Streamline Hotel, The Ormond Garage Replica and Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, Volusia County’s very own National Historic Landmark. Included in the bus tour are over 40 different racing landmarks, interesting facts and stories and enjoy lunch at the Shores Resort and Spa on A1A.

Tour the historical grounds and climb the tallest lighthouse in Florida, where spectacular views of the Ocean, Inlet, and Inland Waterways. Learn the history of beach racing as you talk with renowned racing historian William Lazarus, author of Sands of Time: The Definitive History of Beach Racing. Mr. Lasarus will be hosting a special presentation at 2:30 p.m.
