The legislative body of the City of Ormond Beach is comprised of a mayor and four commissioners:

Elections & Terms
The Mayor is elected at large and must reside within the city limits. Each Commissioner is elected by zone and must reside within their zone. All are elected on a non-partisan basis and have term lengths of two years.

  • First and third Tuesday of each month, unless the schedule is amended

Meeting Materials
Agendas and copies of all meeting documents are available online. This information is published prior to the end of the business day on the Friday before the Tuesday Commission meeting. 

Continued Meetings
Regular meetings can be continued to another date when there is an urgency to take action before the Commission officially meets again. Continued meetings are advertised the same as regular meetings.

Special Meetings & Workshops
Workshops and special meetings are called by the Mayor and Commission when additional time is needed to discuss or act on certain items. These meetings are noticed in the daily newspaper and are open to the public.

Participation & Conduct
Public participation in meetings is encouraged by the City Commission. In speaking before the City Commission, please review our policy and expectations.

Citizens are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and courteous manner during the meeting. Anyone who is disruptive or behaving in a disorderly manner will be removed from the Commission chambers.
