Oceanfront Dining Experiences Opening Soon in Volusia
Volusia County is exploding with commercial development. Vacant lots and old buildings are being transformed within the business districts. All improvements to real estate are welcomed additions in each of Volusia’s cities.
Included in the development are brand new oceanfront restaurants, where residents and visitors can enjoy memorable dining experiences watching waves break on an endless horizon.
New Smyrna Beach (NSB) – Ocean Breezes, located at 521 Flagler Avenue, corner of Flagler Avenue and Buenos Aires Street on top of Wildside NSB, a beach souvenir shop. The rooftop restaurant has the ultimate island vibe with a panoramic ocean view, huge grass tiki hut, tiki airbrush art and a stunning waterfall garden. The menu will include traditional beach dishes at an affordable price and a full liquor bar. Look for updates at Facebook.com/WildsideNSB.
Anticipated grand opening – second weekend in November 2017.
New Smyrna Beach – The Crow’s Nest Bar and Grille, located at 203 S. Atlantic Avenue (former Barracudas Bar and Grille). The construction of the 7,600-squarefoot building with covered second floor patio can be spotted from the beach. The only announcements about the menu so far is that it will be American (traditional) cuisine. Follow the progress at Facebook.com/TheCrowsNestNSB.
Anticipated completion date – Fall 2017.
Daytona Beach – LandShark Bar & Grill, located at 451 S. Atlantic Avenue, oceanfront “Key West look” dual-restaurant complex. A complement to the Jimmy Buffet-inspired Latitude Margaritaville active adult community being developed on LPGA Boulevard and located in the center of beachfront action with ocean breezes, great food, generous drinks and outstanding beach music. The menu is American beach food with a fresh coastal twist and, of course, cold draft LandShark and fabulous frozen concoctions. Visit DaytonaBeach.LandsharkBarandGrill.com.
Groundbreaking July 2017. Plans to open – late January 2018.

An independent contemporary Tex-Mex eatery featuring a menu full of from-scratch recipes and coastal inspired specials served in a vibrant and elegant setting. An outdoor bar is planned for this location. Original location is in Winter Park. Visit Cocina214.com.
